Anxiety looks around
How are you looking? Are you tired of rubber necking? Always wondering if you will make it to the next meal? Are you able to pay for those bills? In this mode you are always looking around. Always tired and stressed as well as sometimes you are unable to sleep at night.
The remedy is given by Peter:
1 Peter 5:7 put all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Depression looks down
Feeling down and out? Feel like you don’t have a way out of the situation which seems hopeless? Seems like no one really cares about you? Unsure about tomorrow and your neck is hurting because you’re looking down? In this mode you are always looking down. Tired and do not want anyone around. Sometimes not hungry and feel lethargic.
The remedy is given by David:
Psalms 40:2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
Envy looks sideways
Always wishing you could have more lights on your house than your neighbor? Wish you could drive the newest 2009 Lamborghini car? Wish you can be like them? Wishing you was able to be promoted over the other person? In this mode your neck is stuck in one direction by putting your hope in wealth an monetary things which are uncertain.
The remedy is given by Timothy:
1 Timothy 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
Regret looks back.
Feeling sorry for you? Feeling you could have done better? Regretting the unkind words you gave to your spouse as you left the house? Wishing you had stopped to give your child that hug when they needed you the most? In this mode your head is facing backwards; while your life is going forward in uncertainty and unable to go in a straight path.
The remedy is given by Paul:
Philippians 3:12-14 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Hope looks forward
Heart happy looking for a positive note? Are your emotions full of optimism through your attitude of looking towards a positive future in fulfillment of your goals, desires, and events turning out for the best? In this mode your head is facing forward. Sitting and waiting for the sunrise in gladness of another day and anticipation and optimism of faith of being sure what you hope for will be given.
There isn’t a remedy, but encouragement:
Hebrews 11:1 now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Faith looks up
Are your eyes set towards heaven? Are your prayers lifted up? In this mode your head is titled up in anticipation of an answer for direction from your Father.
This is the way to live life:
Proverbs 2:7-9 He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.
This message comes to wish you happiness and to make this New Year, a wonderful one for you and then the kind of happiness desired by your heart and family times, filled with peace and joy, right from the start. Each moment in a day has its own value. Morning brings HOPE, Afternoon brings FAITH, Evening brings LOVE, and Night brings REST. Therefore, drop the last year into the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can go.

If you are tired of looking and making the same resolutions, then make this year a year of renewal:
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Romans 12:12 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Titus 3:4-6 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,
May God bless you in the year of 2009! Happy New Year
