Word Perfect

We are unique and yet wonderfully made creatures on the planet earth. Sometimes we are confused and misunderstood in each other's eyes. When we have limited knowledge on various things, then we can be dangerous as a gun. Human words are weapons that can destroy or build the foundations of this world and can spew out like bullets from a Tommy gun that can cut a person down.

Words are the makeup of a person’s persona. Words are the outline of the hidden soul trapped in a fleshly body. Yet, there is a smoking gun to which humans use in their everyday life, which seems to destroy others if it is not correctly used. I must be careful and become proactive in the ideals that will fashion communication that is inviting and warm to the other person, even if those words are poisoned with criticism or instruction. The words form outline of who I am as a person and paint a portrait to others of the reflections of my heart.

Words must be fashioned on the anvil of the brain before it can be used on the tongue to communicate. Words fashioned on the anvil can be a fine sword which cuts quick and deep into the heart. Words fashioned on the anvil can be a useful tool like a wagon wheel to help get people motivated and moving. Words fashioned on the anvil can be like a shield that defends the truth. Words fashioned on the anvil can be a blanket that warms the soul.

Mankind must be effective communicators in this world that is twisted like a pretzel in negativity. It is a time to bridge the gap and heal the wounded between each other. To spew words out in anguish is like being a nail gun that nails objects to a wall. The damage is done and when one decides to get rid of the nails the scars are evident. Holes are left in the heart that bled in agony over the hurt and destruction.

Words can be formed into sentences and books that fashion into a meaningful abstract to convey what the communicator feels or wants to convey in his or her thoughts. Often times it may not be communicated well and other times it is the receiver who may misunderstand the message. Either way there has to be clarification before one walks away from the other before it explodes into a misunderstanding and a relationship is destroyed.

Words are post conformed thoughts that have been baked in the mind’s kitchen and often times the recipe was not followed very well. Is it right to rejoice in ridicule because someone believed Judgment day was here? Is it right to convey that it was God’s plan that Joplin was hit with destruction? Thought process of these does not work well in what should have been conveyed. The responsibility was shifted to avoid the responsibility of taking action.

It is never God’s plan for things to be destroyed. Those who believe in this idea will need to marinate their words carefully in the Word and will need to understand there is a call for a relationship to Him and not a call to push mankind away through destruction. All mankind makes mistakes in beliefs he or she has conformed into their mind and before ridiculing someone else’s belief, we must carefully marinate our words and bake them into a meaningful way so that the other person can digest on the bread of communication.

If you like to have the last word, then let that last word be a lasting memory that can impact a person to be edified and not destroyed. Do we not have enough destruction in earthquakes, economy, terrorist attacks, and loss of life, loss of jobs, divorces, tsunamis, tornados, hurricanes, floods and crime? It is time to carefully choose our words that can edify and uplift a person.

For Christians, do not pull out the God gun and try to blow others away, thinking it will resolve everything because many will not understand and will only be wounded by the destruction of the bullet. All mankind must become effective listeners and choosers of careful words to convey a love for each other, to rebuild what has been already destroyed and come to a common purpose. It is time to rebuild mankind up in a humble fashion and heal the wounded with kind words, while not rejoicing in the aftermath of bad choice words and beliefs of others.

Words should not be riddled bullets, but words should be eloquent as a rose. A rose that is soft to hear, pleasing aroma and sometimes quick to point out the thorns which can be painful, but the overwhelming beauty of the package still wants you to admire the rose. It is time for mankind to edify and to build each other up because we have enough physical damage in the world. Words are like honey it might be sweet to taste, can cause a sticky situation and draws those in who want to sample. Just do not mess with the bee while forming the honey. You might just get stung if stirred with smoky words, or forced out to make your point evident.

A bird does not sing because it has an answer, but it sings because it has a song within its heart. When words are many, sin is not absent, but whoever holds their tongue is wise (Proverbs 10:19). Be wise in your words to bring out healing and do not be reckless in our words that pierce like a sword into the heart. Marinate, bake and deliver a meal that can bring about buildings of relationships that can safely house friendships from the destructive negativity of this world.
